CHARTER NIGHT CELEBRATION Saint Jo
Lions Club
Tuesday, September
14, 2010 6:30 P.M.
With apologies for the absence of a Lion logo,
here's an invitation
to the Charter Night Celebration for the newest member of
our district, Saint Jo Lions Club. This new club was
chartered on June 4. PDG Virgie Mitchell and Lion Donna
Rogers are Guiding Lions and Bowie Lions Club is their
sponsor.
For those interested in making a gift to Saint Jo Lions
Club, they have a set of flags (U.S. and Texas) and a
banner. They have need of a bell, gavel and a podium. Cash
is always appreciated
.
The first project for the Saint Jo Lions Club is to improve
the playground at their city park. This project emphasizes
the reason cash gifts will be greatly appreciated.
The theme for the evening will be Western in recognition of
the many ways in which Saint Jo is remembered for its
western heritage as the head of the Ekm Creek fork of the
Trinity River. Cattle drives on the Chisolm Trail often
went through Saint Jo.
I'm hopeful District 2-E1 will be well-represented on the
evening of Tuesday, September 14.

Lions
Hello, this is a blanket email to almost everyone to let you
and your club know that there will be a District Cabinet
Meeting in Stephenville on July 31 and all the information
is on the attached
flyer.
I will install the 1 & 2 Vice Governor and other
Cabinet member at this meeting. There will also be training
for the President, Zone Chairs, Secretary and Treasurer.
PDG Shirley Dillman of District 37A who now live in
Round Rock Texas will be our guest speaker. Please
bring this meeting to the attention of your club. All Lions
and guest are welcome.
Looking forward to seeing all the clubs at this meeting. We
have a new club in Saint Jo and some of their members will
be in attendance so let all be there to welcome them to the
great life of being a Lions.
The International Convention in Australia was great. Lion
Carolyn will be more than happy to tell everyone about it.
